Micah Bernstein, 6, shook hands with Irving Goodman, 8, prior to the coin toss of Tuesday night’s Bishop’s vs. Torrey Pines boys lacrosse match.

The game was the first Friends of Jaclyn Cup between the two teams. The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation pairs children battling cancer with high school and college teams.

Bernstein, who has been adopted by Bishop’s, and Goodman, a Torrey Pines adoptee, have battled cancer.

Torrey Pines defeated Bishop’s 17-3.
